(and not the post war sniper M41B) The scope mounts also early WW2 versions are both serial numbered and do not match themselves or the rifle. There are differences b/w m41 and m41b snipers and collector's will attempt to acquire all types. The mount system is different so that it can hold the German vs the Swedish scope (all ssr type). Rear sights different between both as well.

This one got the nod. I bought an Accumount repro scope mount and sent it to a trusted gunsmith. He is fairly busy and it took some months for him to complete the job. In the mean time I got a smoking deal on a real Swedish M41B sniper rifle, but that is a different story.

The m/41B continued in service through 1995. The last unit to utilize the m/41B was the Swedish Home Guard and they used it until it was replaced by the scoped AK4OR, a Swedish version of the H&K G3A3 fitted with a Hensoldt Fero Z24 4×24 scope. Between 2000 and 3000 such guns were converted before Germany realized that it also needed quite a lot of snipers’ rifles, and stopped selling the optics to Sweden.

Finally got my Swedish M41B sniper from samco last week. Been waiting to get this one for a while. Its a 1908 dated Carl Gustafs dated reciver. It has a post war german AJack 4x90 scope.

It looks like it might be a bicycle tire. My m41B still has the original, but it has a crack and is getting brittle from age. I have thought about replacing it, but as long as it will stay on I'm not messing with it. I'm interested in one of the Samco Swede snipers, but can't find much information about them. M41B Sniper. This is a Swedish m41b sniper. one of the early samco imports, still having the orange samco inventory tag. Although, the plastic tie has been replaced by a rubber band.
